This Dwaine getting ready for a rip at the May 17th NPR track day. He has parked his CBR 600 and gotten his work done on a RMN 250. That is not a look of terror or concentration on his face but a look of pleasure, a common expression on those who ride 250's.
I loaded the CBRR on the trailer Sunday night ready for Monday's track day (love Mondays @ the track). As I was driving down to NPR, Kept reminiscing about the corner speed conversation I had with Kevin last track day. As I approached the pit area the yellow school bus stood out like a beacon in the night and I knew I would leave the Honda on the trailer that day. After brief conversation with Kevin, plans were finalized, I would spend the day on this little Ninja. Kevin scrambled to set up a bike for me with GP shifting, with his attention to detail, I knew I made the right decision. I am always a bit intimidated riding a new bike. The morning went well, just cruising around in C class. During a nonriding session, had a positive critic of my riding with Kevin. Just what I needed a little kick in the butt. I was going into and out every corner too slow and sitting upright on bike. Jumped up to A/B class, and started to ride like I was on a racetrack. There is no a better feeling then overtaking a liter bike on these little monsters. That Monday I improved my corner speed and confidence.
The only thing I will do differently next trackday I can attend will be, not loading the 600 on the trailer. Looking forward to my next adventure with Rentmyninja .Thanks Kevin!!! Duane/bayouimp@rocketmadness
They go to the spa, you come to the racetrack. Ride off some steam!
Let Rent My Ninja make it easy for you to get on the track. Maybe you have a nice bike, but you don't want to give up street riding to convert your sweet ride to a race bike. Come let Rent My Ninja take care of all of the work and enjoy a trackday. Just walk up and ride! All you need is a helmet, boots, gloves and an ability to ride. We even rent leathers.
The 2009 Ninja 250 is a great introductory bike for the track. Even though it tops out at 110, you'll be surpised at how much fun it is on the track even for a veteran rider. You can do things on the track on a 250 that you would never attempt on a 750 or 1000!
The owner, Kevin Nolde, has 15 years experience racing and working on sport bikes. He can give you pointers and help you decide which races to enter, etc. Whatever it takes to make your weekend fun and relaxing.
If you don't feel you are ready for racing, there are many trackdays available. At trackdays, you will get plenty of time on the track in a relaxed setting. Go to our website for a schedule so that you can set up your own day to ride off some steam! http://rentmyninja.com/ es.
